On this International Women's Day, we asked What Works 2 staff and what their hopes are for moving towards the prevention of violence against women and girls.

Let's stand together to prevent violence against women and girls by investing in women and girls, challenging harmful norms and creating a world where everyone is safe and respected.

Let's raise our voices to support survivors & demand action to prevent VAWG. Past interventions and research outputs have proven that violence is preventable. Rigorously evaluated projects under Phase 1 of What Works reduced violence by as much as 50% in 2-3 years, showing that violence against women and girls is preventable. With increased investment, we can do it in this lifetime.

On this #InternationalWomensDay, let's commit to challenging the root causes of violence, promoting gender equality, and creating a world where everyone can live with dignity and respect.
