Sumedha Sharma, Feminist Accountability Advisor for What Works 2 has over 29 years of experience in social development, focusing on women’s rights, gender issues, education, and governance. Sumedha's diverse expertise spans various sectors, showcasing a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding social challenges. Her career has seen her gain experience in managing grants, feminist grant-making, conducting research, leading campaigns and advocacy efforts, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, organizational development, project development, and strategic planning.

Currently, she leads operations at iPartner India and will soon join its board. She also advises the Human Capability Foundation on grant making in India and Nepal. Additionally, Sumedha is an expert trainer on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and serves on committees for 10 companies.

Her career highlights include roles with the Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education, where she provided programmatic and strategic support to a broad network across Asia and the South Pacific, as well as contributions to the Hunger Project and Participatory Research in Asia, which aimed at strengthening women’s leadership in local self-governance.
