Valerie Roberts

Lead for the What Works II Research programme at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office

Valerie Roberts leads the Research Component of the What Works II programme.  She works in FCDO’s Research and Evidence Directorate where she also manages the Gender and Adolescence Global Evidence Programme (GAGE).  She has over twenty years development experience and has worked in the areas of gender based violence, child marriage, FGM and adolescence. She holds a PhD in Development Studies.
